Reboots, sequels, and adaptations are also present in "Spider-Verse style animation"/"revolutionary animation"/"2D-style 3D animation" movies. I think the only media that don't have it are The Mitchells vs. The Machines, Entergalactic (though the Kid Cudi song came first I'd still like to include it let me cope), and, as much as we don't like to admit it, Wish.
Into the Spider-Verse is the theater debut of Miles Morales/Spider-Man, who took the very famous handle in 2011, Across and Beyond are its sequels, of course, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish is a sequel to Puss in Boots, The Bad Guys is a book adaptation (albeit not a too well-known book), Arcane is based on League of Legends, and Mutant Mayhem is pretty much a reboot of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic. Even the Lego Movie and Peanuts, which are said to be progenitors of the style, are adaptations!
I'm not saying it's bad for these films to be adapted from other media,
Also, I want to include the inspirations of the art styles for no reason.
- Lego Movie: Stop motion
- Peanuts: The original strip comic and TV specials
- Spider-Verse: Comic books
- Arcane: Fin de siècle and Art Nouveau
- The Mitchells vs. The Machines: Watercolor markers and sketchbook
- Entergalactic: Paintings
- The Last Wish: Fairytale storybook paintings
- Mutant Mayhem: Sketchbook
- Wish: Watercolor and old Disney films
