Sayuri Mori

Introduction

Sayuri Mori (森 さゆり) is the fifth and final Cure of the Pretty Cure group Happy Happy Pretty Cure! Her alter ego is Cure Seashell and her theme color is blue.

Personality

Sayuri is a girl who is very athletic and reads a lot about sports to get better at it. She has anger issues. Sayuri is Junko's older twin sister.

As the series is based on emojis, she is represented by the thumbs up emoji.

Production

Sayuri was originally made on July 3rd, 2015. Her original name was Ume Taiikukan, which sounds like a cool name on the surface, but it actually means "Gymnnasium plum". Her Pretty Cure alter ego was Cure Cheerleader and her theme color was bluebell.

Trivia

  • Sayuri's full name means "Small lily of the forest".
  • In the psuedo-remake "My Darling ♡ Pretty Cure", her name is Kirari Toriumi, which means "bird ocean sparkling blue". Her alter ego there is Cure Caeli, despite being water-themed.

Junko Mori

I first submitted this with the same sentence as Kaede, but I changed that.

Introduction

Junko Mori (森 順子) is the fourth Cure of the Pretty Cure group Happy Happy Pretty Cure! Her alter ego is Cure Terra and her theme color is green.

Personality

Junko is a girl that loves photography and wolves and indulges herself in those interests. She doesn't like talking to people unless it involves those topics. Sometimes she likes to pretend that she is a wolf.

As the series is based on emojis, she is represented by the wolf emoji.

Production

Junko was originally made on July 3rd, 2015. Her original name was Nyuumuun Mangetsu, meaning "Full moon new moon". Nyuumuun was gairaigo for the new moon. Her Pretty Cure alter ego was Cure Bush and her theme color was pine green.

Trivia

  • Junko's full name means "Obedient child of the forest". Ironic.
  • In the psuedo-remake "My Darling ♡ Pretty Cure", her name is Hirari Toriumi, which means "bird ocean butterfly".
  • Junko was named after Junko Enoshima, but they're nothing alike.

Kaede Ueda

I'm probably gonna make the other three Happy Happy girls' pages before anyone else, but after school because I need to do that.

Introduction

Kaede Ueda (上田 楓) is the third Cure of the Pretty Cure group Happy Happy Pretty Cure! Her alter ego is Cure Twirl and her theme color is yellow.

Personality

Kaede is the student council president of Setaka Girls' High School, and people fear her presence. But she has a pretty girly secret. She wants to be a ballerina, the best one there is. She wants to be a role model for young girls, and Pretty Cure was the only way she can express that.

As the series is based on emojis, she is represented by the heart emoji.

Production

Kaede was originally made on July 3rd, 2015. Her original name was Katsura Burashi, meaning "Brush wig". Yes, I'm serious. Her dream, instead of being a ballerina, was a hairstylist, hence the name. Her theme color was honey yellow.

Trivia

  • Kaede's full name means "Upper rice paddy maple tree". Honestly, I don't know why I chose the last name Ueda.
  • In the psuedo-remake "My Darling ♡ Pretty Cure", her name is Chise Takase, which means "red peak tenderness".
  • She looks pretty similar to Cure Rhythm, and they even fight in... kinda similar ways?

Misaki Kagome

Personality

Misaki is a calm and collected girl who's secretly obsessed with anime. She is usually bullied by the other kids, but the other girls stand up for her.

As the series is based on emojis, she is represented by the robot emoji.

Production

Misaki was originally made on July 3rd, 2015. Her original name was Shika Sutechi, meaning "Stich deer, her alter ego was Cure Treasure, and her theme color was sweet red. At one point, her Cure name was gonna be Cure Cinnamon.

  • In the psuedo-remake "My Darling ♡ Pretty Cure", her name is Yutaka Akamine, which means "red peak tenderness".

Mariko Itou

This is the first character bio of the wiki, so I think it makes sense to start the character bios off with Mariko Itou, my first ever Pretty Cure OC!

Introduction

Mariko Itou (伊藤 真理子) is the lead Cure of the Pretty Cure group Happy Happy Pretty Cure! Her alter ego is Cure Glitter and her theme color is pink.

Personality

Mariko is a girly girl who admires the aesthetic of France and the 1950's to the point of an obsession. She dreams of becoming a fashion designer alongside Riko Imasaki (as seen in Happy Happy Pretty Cure!: Mariko no Yume! Tetsudatte Moraemasu ka?). She comes from Shiramine, a small village in Japan, so she gets pretty excited to move to Setaka, which is also a village but way bigger.

As the series is based on emojis, she is represented by the cat emoji.

Production

Mariko was originally made on July 3rd, 2015, alongside the other five main Cures. Her original name was Wandaa Nichiyoubi, meaning "Sunday wonder", and her theme color was specifically tea pink. She originally had brown hair and green eyes, but it has changed to dark purple hair and light blue eyes, similar to Marinette Dupain-Cheng.

Mariko is definitely my favorite of the five girls.

Trivia

  • Mariko's full name means "Wisteria true village (child)"
  • In the psuedo-remake "My Darling ♡ Pretty Cure", her name is Yukiho Sakurai, which means "blossom well, helping step".
  • I think the name Keiko Nichiyoubi would fit her too.
